• 1961

  • Mar.

    Sekisui Chemical Co., Ltd. a pioneering company in plastics in Japan, established Sekisui Seiki Co., Ltd. as a company specializing in the manufacture of plastic injection molds.

• 1962

  • Jan.

    Construction of Main Plant completed; operations begun.

• 1964

  • Apr.

    Began production of industrial machinery (plastic processing machinery).

  • May.

    Company name changed to Sekisui Machinery Co., Ltd.

• 1969

  • Sep.

    Construction of Kanto Plant completed; operations begun.

• 1988

  • Mar.

    Nagoya Office opened.

• 1991

  • Jan.

    Sekisui Machinery Co., Ltd. listed in the second section of the Osaka Stock Exchange.
